Family & Personal Protection, Mantrailing & Tracking, Anti-Poaching & Stock Theft, Bloodspoor & Trailing, Bird Dogs (Gun Dogs) and Green Dogs (early stages of training & development).
Owners can send their dogs to us for in-house training for the following:
Obedience, Protection, Puppy development, Behavior Concerns or Issues.
When your dogs visit us they are treated as our own with lots of love and attention. All dogs spend at least twice a day either training or going on walks on the Game Ranch. Once your dog has completed their training, time is spent with the handler/owner to show them how to work with their trained dog.
Through our team’s extensive knowledge and experience we are able the offer well rounded dogs with lovely temperaments and drive. We take extra care in raising and training all our dogs.
Our training is humane and our techniques are updated continuously. Our focus and commitment is to train and develop the perfect tactically trained working dog.
We provide Personal Protection Dogs that are trained to protect their owner or family. They are raised and trained with superb care to serve and protect.
Our dogs are trained in obedience and protection and can accompany you wherever you go.
Our dogs are house and vehicle trained as well as trained for different scenarios from protecting you in your vehicle or home, to walking in the street or on the farm.
Mantrailing is based on the ability of the dog to distinguish between individual scents.
The sole focus needs to be on a human’s unique scent, ignoring distractions and so successfully finding the specific human.
In the beginning of the trail the dog is scented on a piece of clothing or other item that has the scent of the lost person. The dog will follow this individual scent on the trail.
Anti-poaching trained dogs can be classified broadly as either Trailing Dogs (air-scenting) or Tracking Dogs. In the wilderness tracking & trailing dogs can be deployed from the slaughtered animal or poacher(s) last known point.
It is the perfect method to counteract illegal hunting and wildlife trade by poachers. In parts of South Africa wildlife game and livestock theft is endemic. Trailing Dogs have proved to be an essential tool to fight wildlife crime.
Bloodspoor Dog is another name for dogs that perform a scent trailing function.
The same discipline is used to find wounded animals or track humans.
Trailing Dogs can broadly be classified as either trailing (air-scenting) dogs or tracking dogs.
Trailing is frequently confused with tracking, and the two terms are often used interchangeably.
Our training program helps to bring the Gun Dog’s inherent prey drive to the top level.
We then begin to mould that natural instinct into the desired behavior of a confident, well-mannered Bird Dog.
Through the development of conditioned responses and learnt behavior, we are able to produce dogs that are proficient in heeling off lead, handling on command and confidently steady on birds.
